The Second Day of EMS LIBS Is the Continuation of the First Day of Success

We rejoice from the friendly, yet highly professional atmosphere at EMS LIBS. Although a European conference, EMS LIBS has gathered LIBS enthusiasts from even non-European territories. We have created new friendships and fostered the already existing ones during the poster session where we read about the inspiring research of other scientists. We also strengthened the cooperation with universities and institutes of technology in Brazil and Portugal.

Our booth was loaded with experts interested in our LIBS products to accelerate their work. We also had the pleasure to welcome to our booth the team of researchers from INESCTEC – one of Portugal’s most influential research institutes. We introduced them to our LIBS tools for specific measurements in vacuum conditions and discussed interesting topics like glass analysis. 

The lectures were presented by esteemed professionals who had traveled from various prestigious academic institutions, and material research centers to impart their expertise to the conference audience. We have seen enlightening presentations of LIBS within domains such as plastics and recycling. Furthermore, we had the opportunity to witness exemplary discussions on the analysis of concrete, polymers, minerals, and Li-Ion batteries that move our vehicles toward sustainability. Such talks effectively showcased the multifaceted capabilities of LIBS technology and emphasized its ability to facilitate research to enable future discoveries in the fields and transform them into industrial applications. We look forward to the third inspiring day that will show more of the practical industrial applications of LIBS.
