Participation on European Winter Conference on Plasma Spectrochemistry

Münster, Germany, February 22 – 26, 2015 The conference focuses on the major topics in analytical plasma spectrochemistry, such as: fundamentals and instrumentation, sample introduction techniques into plasma, hyphenated techniques using plasma sources for detection, stable isotope analysis, laser ablation and elemental imaging, elemental speciation, applications of plasma spectrometry, quality control and validation methods. Two members of our team, Lucia Sládková and Pavel Pořízka, have attended EWCPS to contribute into scientific program by one poster and one oral presentation. The themes were ‚Improvement in the detection limits of laser-induced breakdown spectroscopy by utilization of Ag-nanoparticles‘ and ‚Estimating the grade of corrosion using laser-induced breakdown spectroscopy‘.
