On Site in Zlaté Hory: C-Trace in Action!
Last week, our AtomTrace team joined colleagues from the Technical University of Košice at the DIAMO, státní podnik mining site in Zlaté Hory, where a detailed field survey is currently underway. The area has recently gained attention after reports confirmed one of the Czech Republic’s largest gold deposits, valued at almost CZK 30 billion.
And it’s right here that the site will soon become the testing ground for our pilot C-Trace device, which aims to demonstrate how advanced analytical tools can enhance the mapping of critical raw materials.
During the visit, we explored both surface and underground areas, assessed environmental and technical conditions, and discussed practical aspects of installing our LIBS-based scanning technology for exploration drill cores. These on-site observations are a key step in adapting the system to real mining environments and ensuring smooth deployment in the months ahead.
By combining scientific expertise, industrial collaboration, and advanced analytical tools, the C-Trace project, supported by EIT RawMaterials, continues to turn research into real-world innovation, shaping the future of resource exploration in Europe.
We can’t wait to see our efforts take shape in the field and to keep pushing the boundaries of innovation in material analysis and geological research.
