Looking Back at the Successful MiningMetals Exhibition in Uzbekistan

The 17th International Exhibition on Mining, Metallurgy, and Metalworking – MiningMetals Uzbekistan 2023, presented a significant opportunity for our company. AtomTrace was represented by our CSO – Michal Bohátka. Collaborating with our local distributor, Globaltest Engineering, we had the opportunity to showcase our advanced LIBS analyzers.

Our exhibit drew the attention of visitors from the mining industry, academic institutions, and geological companies from the Middle and Central Asia regions, including Uzbekistan, Kazakhstan, Tajikistan and Turkey. On the first day of the exhibition, our participation was even honored with a visit from the Ministry of Mining Industry and Geology of the Republic of Uzbekistan!

Our active engagement at the event allowed us to establish valuable contacts. We were left very impressed by the expertise and cutting-edge technologies of other exhibitors and visitors at our booth. This connection not only enabled knowledge exchange but also provided us with unique insights into the thriving metallurgy and mining industry in the region.

At our exhibition booth, we proudly presented our LIBS analyzers. Our on-site devices surpass handheld alternatives in resolution, accuracy, reliability, and measurement range. Their applications in metallurgy and geology for rapid chemical analysis of minerals and alloys highlighted their potential to enhance production processes.

The economic growth and importance of the Central Asia region are confirmed by numerous investments from major international companies and banks. This was further underscored by the visit of French President Emmanuel Macron, who met with the President of Uzbekistan during the week of the MiningMetal show. They discussed topics centered around the development of a strategic partnership, with a focus on collaborative projects in agriculture and uranium.

As we reflect on the MiningMetals Uzbekistan 2023 exhibition, the experience was truly valuable. Our perspectives were broadened through meaningful interactions with industry experts and exposure to cutting-edge technologies. We’re very grateful for the support of the Globaltest Engineering team, our distributor, which provided us with a platform to explore new opportunities and contributed to making this exhibition a great success.

We already eagerly anticipate next year’s exhibition, scheduled to take place in Tashkent on October 22-24, 2024!
