Gas Extraction Module for LIBS Interaction Chamber of Sci-Trace
Material ejected from the sample during the laser ablation is undesirable or even dangerous for a number of reasons. Material from one spot can contaminate surrounding sample surface and negatively affecting the detected signal. Dust will sooner or later damage nearby mechanical and optical components. Moreover, vapours and ablated particles can be toxic and needs to be taken care of. Gas Extraction Module (MGE) is extension module for LIBS Interaction Chamber of Sci-Trace system. It sucks out the material generated during by the laser ablation from inside the chamber. It consists of gas nozzle on flexible hose, chamber flange and extraction pump equipped with changeable dust filter.Contacts
