Celebrating Czech National Day at Expo: From Brno to the World

Czech National Day has officially started at the World Expo – the flagship event of Czechia’s participation this year.

The Czech Pavilion is hosting top representatives, including the President of the Czech Republic and a high-level business delegation. One of the highlights is the presentation of Gregor Johann Mendel’s original manuscript, brought from Brno by the Augustinian brothers – a symbol that connects Czech science with global legacy.

Already yesterday, on July 23, our CEO Jan Proček had the opportunity to personally meet with the delegation of Augustinian brothers from Brno. On the same day, he also took part in a meeting with Her Imperial Highness Princess Hisako of Takamado, who visited the pavilion ahead of the official celebrations.

We are proud to be on site throughout Mendel Week as an official Expo partner, actively involved in the program. The program is rich, and the Czech Pavilion is impressive – full of ideas, energy, and international attention.

Like Mendel, we come from Brno – and like him, we believe in building bridges toward the future.

We’re excited to be part of this dynamic environment and to contribute directly to how Czech science, innovation, and partnerships are seen on the world stage.
