AtomTrace Closes the 2023 EMS LIBS Conference with Business Demands of Over EUR 500,000!

The 2023 EMS LIBS conference has come to its close today. Held in the vibrant city of Porto, Portugal, the conference has grouped over 200 scientists and researchers from 40 European as well as non-European countries, establishing Porto as the temporary port of knowledge for the Laser Induced Breakdown Spectroscopy community.

For AtomTrace, attending the 2023 EMS LIBS conference was an astounding success. Our booth was constantly flooded with visitors showing such great interest in our showcased M-Trace device and our other LIBS products that we closed multiple deals with prestigious universities on the spot.

The fact that deserves a special mention is the demand for our products of over 500,000 EUR in total in inquiries, that has been opened there at the conference. This for sure demonstrates the high and immediate demand for our fast and precise LIBS products.

We also had the privilege of enriching our knowledge with industrial applications of LIBS through insightful presentations held by the best professors and scientists. The lectures focused on how LIBS facilitates work in areas like recycling, mining, and agriculture. During poster sessions that enabled fellow scientists to present their groundbreaking discoveries, we further connected with a multitude of professionals to continue discussing the potential of chemical analysis. The insights shared by attending professionals were inspiring and eye-opening, igniting a fervent passion for the continued advancement of this analytical technique.

Thus, the conference, impeccably organized by the renowned research center INESCTEC, exceeded all expectations. From the moment we stepped foot at the EMS LIBS conference, the amazing organizers greeted us with a friendly atmosphere that fostered the sharing of valuable knowledge. We are grateful to the whole INESCTEC team for making the conference such a resounding success. We are also thankful to the South Moravian Region for co-funding our participation at the 2023 EMS LIBS conference and enabling us to connect with such specialists.

As we bid adieu to Porto, we eagerly look forward to the 2024 EMS LIBS conference. The next gathering of LIBS enthusiasts takes place in beautiful France. This year’s event has set a high bar for excellence, and we have no doubt that the 2024 edition will continue to push the boundaries of creating a fertile ground for exploring new everyday LIBS applications.
